"To Be or Not To Be..."

Last Friday, watching the different versions of Hamlet, showed the representation of the well-known speech "To Be or Not To Be". Each film had the same speech but displayed it in different forms. For example, some plays had more emotion and some had little emotion. Also the scene was displayed in different forms too. This shows how a person mind varies about what someone reads and then try to display it in video.
In the first movie, the character Hamelt seemed more calm. He barley showed any emotion. This actor should of shown more emotion. The actor wasn't speaking, the director displayed the character thinking in their mind. The only good thing about the first movie is that it actually showed him thinking and not speaking out loud to himself. This was good because usually people think in their mind, not speak out loud to themselves.
The movie with Mel Gibson had a much better scene. This is the movie where it shows his father in a tomb. I liked this better because he seeems to show emotion on the situation. This scene seems better because it shows a better connection with the father. As I was saying, this scene had so much emotion, that I even felt the sadness in him.
The third movie we watched was where he was talking in a two way mirror. He doesn't know that he's being spyed on. He was talking into the mirror, on the other side was Cladius and Polonius hearing everything. This version showed that Hamelt wanted to phsyical revenge back for what happened to his father, which I loved. He had a knife and was moving it around like he was going to take action.
The movie with the director Almereyda's Hamlet, the actor seems more sucidal. He's walking by himself, speaking to himself. When he was in Blockbuster, the video of Hamlet kept coming up. Overall, I didn't like it.
